Fathers, father figures and guardians are invited to participate in their child’s local schools. This year North Miami Middle is hosting in collaboration with Arch Creek Elementary and North Miami Senior High School. Experts say kids reap academic and social benefits from their fathers’ involvement in their studies. When the program was introduced in Miami-Dade in 2010 there were 48 schools involved in providing literacy learning activities. Last year 220 schools participated.
